Cannes: Harrison Ford Presented With Honorary Palme d’Or | THR News

They say you’ve made it when you get to the top of Hollywood, but for Harrison Ford, he’s just reached greater heights. The beloved actor has been awarded with the prestigious Palme d’Or award at Cannes this year.
Harrison is no stranger to awards, having received numerous accolades during his distinguished career in film and television. But being honored with a special prize from one of the most prestigious international film festivals is something entirely different. It’s fitting that he should receive such recognition at Cannes considering that some of his most iconic roles were achieved through films released in theaters there first (think Star Wars: A New Hope).
The crowd cheered as Harrison was presented with the award by festival president Pierre Lescure – who also happens to be a huge fan himself! When asked what receiving this honour meant to him, Harrison simply said “it’s an amazing feeling; I feel like I’ve come full circle now”. We can’t help but agree!
It looks like we haven’t seen the last of our favourite flyboy just yet- even though he may have left us longing for more after Solo: A Star Wars Story – because it looks like Harrison Ford isn’t planning on slowing down any time soon! Congratulations on your glorious honour, Mr Ford – you deserve it!
